Emotions Running Deep

Emotions Running Deep

A Poem by Caitlin
"

I wrote this poem from an image in my head, not experience. I hope you enjoy it!

"
She lays in her bed,
Crying herself to sleep,
She was in total shock,
Emotions running deep.
--
The boy who said he had loved her,
The boy who hugged her tight,
The boy who kissed her gently,
Was the source of her tears tonight.
--
The boy who said “I’ll never hurt you”,
The boy who said “You’ll always be mine”,
The boy who promised to love her,
Finally pushed her off of cloud nine.
--
The boy who said he’d always care about her,
The boy who said “We’ll never part”,
The boy who said “I’ll never lie to you”
Had broken her fragile heart.
--
She got out of bed,
She couldn’t take it anymore,
She tore up her memories,
And threw them to the floor.
--
She ran through her room,
In an angry rage,
Picked up her photo album,
And ripped out every page.
--
The roses that the boy had given her,
Sat beautifully in a vase,
She flung them to the floor,
Without ever turning her face.
--
There sat her little brown teddy bear,
The boy had given her for Valentines Day,
With every thought she was more furious,
And threw the littler teddy bear away.
--
She laid in her bed,
To keep crying herself to sleep,
She was still in total shock,
Emotions running deep.

I don't know. The poem ran smoothly till the last line. I believe maybe cutting out "She was still in total shock" would make the ending more smooth. The poem was strong. I could feel the anger and disappointment. A very good poem.

this is very touchy. Creates a very vivid imagery. A bit blunt yet a very talented writing. Keep it up!
