Wandering soul

Wandering soul

A Poem by Carissa Marie

Surreal dream
Of a floating soul
Longing to be seen,
Dying to be heard.
A painful death,
To a soul not living.
Trying to be noticed
But can't even make a sound.
He wanders on forever,
Hoping to catch a few,
Enjoying an accidental smile,
And a sudden glance,
Signs of acknowledgements,
If only for a little while.
He replays memories in his head,
When he was well-loved.
A fuel to make him keep going,
Til he finds the light above.
