Left Out

Left Out

A Poem by nevershoutnever.

Don't leave.
Listen to me.
You don't know what
it is like
to be left
in the dust,
kicked in the dirt,
pushed out of line.
I'm tipped over the edge,
missing you,
and the rest of them
who got up
and walked away.
Stay here
and don't leave me behind;
you promised you wouldn't,
but you did anyways.
You didn't have a choice.
Right?

I feel like you wrote these words from within my heart. It hurts to read them coming from someone else. No one should have to feel this yet so many of us do and you've captured it and relayed it in such a simple yet complex way.
