Limit not your own reality

Limit not your own reality

A Poem by Ama May Cooper

You can dance on burning rocks
invincible to the lavishing flames beneath your feet
A spinning top of uptmost glory
running untarnished over the coals
Why do you limit yourself to your own reality?
the doors you are closing yourself
locking a kindred spirit behind a closed mind
capturing and caging an entity of freedom
Goals are merely stepping stones
as simple as bounds and leaps
Take them with no fear
Break down the walls that block your path
Why do you limit yourself to your own reality?
Believing in nothing but imminent destruction
You can create such virulent success
Just hold onto strength for your wildest dreams
You can chase away the specter's from your mind
Drown your fears in acidic rivers of hope
You can win
You can go home victorious
Paint not your fears , dress them in no golden robes
Do not feed them with such tortured thoughts
Believe in your own progression
And dive endlessly over the oceans of your dreams
