Manchild

Manchild

A Poem by Caroline B A Maguire
"

New flame

"
He played with fire
And burned so fiercely
That She devil seared the manchild's heart
Consumed the love he felt

Yet he rises
He is coming alive
As in new flame he resurrects

New convergence
Reaches down
Finds this bratty boy
And gathers his flame to hers

And where inferno once raged
Outside
Alone
There is calm and safe haven
To be found now within the storm
Inside
Together

So, out with the old, in with the new, flame.
I suppose we all get burnt in love, but would we have it any other way.
