Life of Flight

 

If you look high in the air, beyond the clouds and sky;

You’ll see a man soaring free and unafraid to fly.

Majestic as he captives attempting feats that none would dare;

With arms out stretched and crocked smile he seems without a care.

But in his eyes you see the pain of many lessons learned;

His mind so sharp, his heart is hard, his soul a fire burned.

His torments are the ones so close, for them he chose to live;

Though love he feels from each of them, he finds there’s none to give.

He sacrifices everything so he can save them all;

And he becomes their “super” man, no fear, he cannot fall.

Now he stands a man apart, no rest ‘til he may die;

A tragic life that one must lead, a man unafraid to fly.
