Art From The HeartA Poem by Chris ShawThanks for the inspiration Lorry, who never does serious :)
it is said that to paint
like Pollock or Picasso you must study art for years learn every rule in the book then break them i have never been a lover of either and Pollock for sure sounds very much like that slang word pillock to me not my cup of tea at all small children have great sense of colour, plenty of imagination given paper and a brush neither do they take an age to produce a masterpiece prolific, always in a rush to please teacher they also know how to count understanding that people have two eyes, not three i like that simplicity i have a portrait of me in a triangle dress, hair distressed my knees with tennis ball bounce one breast the size of a pea the other a jam doughnut six fingers resemble daggers what swagger have i neatly upon my feet Cuban heels complete this fine picture are you beginning to see where i'm coming from? this poem of course very much tongue in cheek and penned in fun © 2019 Chris ShawAuthor's Note
