A Transient Blemish

A Transient Blemish

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(mind wanderings on a sleepless night)

"
distant fir tree tops
create silhouette tattoos
on moon's peerless skin

dear Chris... the Moon does appear to have tattoos...
and I can only imagine... as I view beyond the stars
through the top of fir trees what secret symbols are
embedded... perhaps angel wings and flowers praying
for our world in disarray. gently, Pat

Very nicely captured Chris.
Just as well tatt shops are closed, or they'd all be wondering why so many people are asking for moon-tree-tats 😀

The moon is divine and almost seems untouchable in its pristine purity so it was so novel to imagine a tattoo on its skin! Something as lovely as this haiku coming from sleepless hours is a great feeling. Enchanting.

It doesn't have to take many words to transport ones thoughts to a muse i found the word peerless to strongly stand out as an adjective for moon, serene portrayal of a mood
