and I can only imagine... as I view beyond the stars
through the top of fir trees what secret symbols are
embedded... perhaps angel wings and flowers praying

Thank you Wild Rose. Yes on occasions those trees against a backdrop of the moon's orb can be scary. My image was much more calming. Hope you are OK.

I've met a few women over the years that have gotten the tattoo bug and I've never understood why they would want a cute little dolphin tattoo on their belly, that will turn into a blue whale if the ever have kids.
I'll just stick to the couple I have, a this way up sign on my chest, An L and an R on my feet and "if I get old and you don't resuscitate, I will haunt you" around my neck 😀

The moon is divine and almost seems untouchable in its pristine purity so it was so novel to imagine a tattoo on its skin! Something as lovely as this haiku coming from sleepless hours is a great feeling. Enchanting.

Thank you dear Ditzy. The moon was incredibly beautiful, but Beth my granddaughter has just had a tattoo placed on her left arm. She must have been on my mind when the dark shadow of the tree tops obscured my view of a full moon :)) Yes I thought, tatoo on pale skin. It looked very lovely I might add.I am working on liking the real tattoo :))
