This is one of the few times I love a single haiku! Usually I feel a sense that what's been said isn't complete, I want more, but here you've nailed the crux of these short Japanese formats . . . making a statement thru imagery with a change of direction for the last line. You've done this perfectly & what you're word painting is truly delicious! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Are you trying to make me hungry so early in my morning? It has set me drooling just thinking of it. Such a delicious Haiku.

Uh, miss! My peach melba is frozen not only to the dish, but to the spoon and my hand!
Hi Chris,
That is because we have snow due today and the thermometer has went so low that it just shattered on the floor!
I swear, I'm just getting on a plane to anywhere warmer until spring shows its face round these here parts.
But thanks for the pic in my mind of warm sunsets. I shall take that pic with me on my escape from the cold! 😊

The imagery here is great! And also makes me very, very hungry. ): This is a great haiku, and I can tell plenty of work when into this, just like always! Just because haikus are short, doesn't make them any lesser than a 100-page poem (if those even exist?? Lol I doubt it)
