Indestructible

Indestructible

A Poem by Cassie Shay
"

Last fall, my mom had a HUGE break down. It only lasted a weekend, and then she managed to pull herself back together for the rest of my siblings. But for those two days, I was the only one there.

"
She's stayed by you
When you're sick
When you're sad
She holds your hand.

Indestructible.

She walked beside you
When you stumbled
When you fell
She picked you up.

Indestructible.

She comforted you
When you were hurt
When you were sad
She cheered you up.

Indestructible.

Your rock
Your foundation
Your courage
And your strenth
She never let you down.

Indestructible.

Then there's that moment
The one that changes things
Shows you how they really are
And now you're...

Her rock
Her foundation
Her courage
And her strenth
You can't let her down.

Because of that moment
The one that changes things
The one where indestructible
Turns into destroyed.

I didn't see the ending coming at all, you did it really well, I thought this poem was going to be boring and just end on the word indestructible but I'm glad I read it all and saw the end! :) Fits together perfectly.
