I remember you then.

Your soft tossled blonde hair

Your warm rolling voice.

the leaving was so hard to bare

 

I didn't say a goodbye,

then again, neither did you.

No words would have been enough though.

I couldn't let you see my tears.

 

I only feel happiness when you are in my thoughts now

your strong words and arms

your timeless gentle heart.

 

You are the warmth, the yellow, the light

that is wrapped around my dreams.

Although there may be some distance

we will never truely be apart.

 

I love you now, as I did then. 

Its strange how the depth of feeling has never changed.

You are still my hero, my angel, my soul and my rain.

I only wish I could see you,
