A Journey Of Two

A Journey Of Two

A Poem by catofjade

When no one wants to understand,

And the crowd is a mindless marching band

Your fellow man won't see your pain

No one ever asks you to explain

The imploring questions in your eyes

Or the roaring of your silent cries

As they quickly detour around

The desolation their careless steps have found

With ears that don't hear and eyes that don't see

In an invisible prison which has no key

There is only one Way to be free

From the hurt and rejection, the pain and the fear

It is a still, small voice whispering words in your ear:

"I will never leave you, I am here, I am here,

You are so precious to me, you are so very dear,

That I would never leave you all alone to bear

The trials you face, Child, I've seen each tear.

I know you've been hurt, and disappointed often,

I saw each fall you took, and I was there when

You made the decision to rise and try again,

I know the road that you're on, and where you've been,

And when you couldn't go on, I was there then,

And I am here now, in all that you do,

Just search your heart, and you'll know this is true,

Wherever you go, there am I with you;

Yours is no journey of one, it's a journey of two.

When we then feel this great love we are shown,

We can embrace the truth: that we are never alone;

And realize our feelings sometimes can be wrong:

We are part of the plan, we are loved, we belong.

Now we can let go of the hurt, and deep pain,

Forgiveness withheld, under terrible strain,

And bitterness which daily our strength would drain,

Wash them all out under Love's cleansing rain,

Knowing this choice is so right, and so sane,

That it gives us a peace which we cannot explain.

For when we truly understand that all our needs are met,

Not by man's works or the things that we get;

But the the steadfast presence of God in every heart set,

And by our own decisions, to love and to let

Forgiveness win over anger, acceptance conquer regret,

Then we'll live in a better way than we've ever lived yet.

No men's chains can bind us the way our own hearts will,

When we allow hate and anger our emptinesses to fill-

If they go unchecked, hurt and pain grow until

All that is good and right inside us they kill.

By far the worst enemy of any man

Is himself; that is part of God's ultimate plan:

When we fight and win the battle for our own soul, we can

Finish the course our Father for us began:

Each one must take the time to seek and find,

The power and purpose for which we're designed;

Making certain our actions and thoughts are aligned

With the ways of His love, leaving bad things behind.

When we put our faith in God's words, and not in our own sight,

The treachery and confusion of even the darkest night,

Fades away to nothing in the brilliance of His perfect light,

And the Way before us shines clear and bright

As in a still, small voice that casts away all our fear,

Our Father says softly, "You are not alone. I am here."

...for all of us God is good, methinks.
The poem could make someone's day for sure. I felt the divine soul in it. We at every stage of our life should remember the divine path and must recall your written piece.KEEP WRITING
