Alphabet of Eternity

Alphabet of Eternity

A Poem by Carole

The alphabet of eternity

Bountiful strength for the journey

Wisdom for the teachable

Knowledge for the reachable

Immeasurable life for those that seek it

Indomitable hope for those that need it

Incalculable love without measure

An unparalleled and costly treasure

Words that transform multitudes of lives

Supernaturally sent from majestic scribes

Miraculous healing for the wounded soul

Declarations of faith, making hearts whole

Mac this is out of sight. It is wonderful and then some. Girl you have jumped three levels over my head. I can read this over and over all day long. The imagery flows with the words and the words capture the attention of the reader and holds it in plain view for all to see. The ending stanza is without question a summing up and direction to go all in one. This really is a great write and read.

This poem is a treasure, Carole. It encourages the reader to pick up the Bible and glean truth and freedom from the words within.

One of my favorite poets is David. His Psalms are stunning examples of faith and hope and wisdom and understanding and humility. You have captured a little of that here in just a few simple lines. Thank you!
I recently learned that as King of Israel, David insisted that musicians play music in the tabernacle 24 hours per day. I read somewhere that there were three shifts of eight hours each. I rather like that idea!

hese lines perfectly capture what writing is and does for many of us. I've recently read your last two pieces of writing and I agree...I think you may have raised the bar for yourself!

Great job and thanks for sharing.
