Baby Boy

Baby Boy

A Poem by callmeecee

"He's in a better place"
But he's going to hell
From what i could tell
If Jesus is real

He was trapped in a cell
Before he was in jail
He was born in this life
He never could bail

He kept his mind closed
& stuck to the life that he chose
Worshiped false kings
That sat on false thrones

He knew how to deal
He knew how to steal
But to prove he was real
He decided to kill

The thoughts in his head
Killed him before he was dead
He ignored his regret
Until it was pierced with lead

He called for help
But he was all by himself
He looked all around
To see no one was left

He called onto God
& prayed for forgivenesss
& hoped he wouldn't die
Before he would finish

As his body lightens
He begins to hear sirens
But the next thing he hears
Is nothing but silence.

I like the eerie tempo of your poem especially when you question whether Jesus is real. I was in the borderline of confusion whether I'll believe his salvation or not—and as a teen, I was indeed rebellious. You wrote a poem that has a story, narrating the real thing that's been happening jn one soul. I'm looking forward on reading you poems soon.

Jesus is most assuredly real...and His salvation is too. But so is His judgment. It is a shame. Everyone dies...but some die too early.
