This one is for you... to the Cafe

I started to write and this is what came out today... I appreciate all my friends on here

I want to write today because I miss my friends, their kind words and their responses to the thoughts that flood my mind on a daily basis.  Yet, as I sit and review poems I am stuck… almost emotionless.  Not happy but not sad.  Not elated yet not mad.  I don’t want to write dark, don’t want to write about love.  I sit and think about what is on my mind and I am running on empty.  I can’t say it is writers block, I always have something to say.  I guess at this moment I am just coasting through my days not doing much of anything other than hoping something exciting happens today.  I wait for requests to review because it makes me happy, happy to know that my friends are out there writing and doing their thing.  I just wonder when my mojo is going to come back, my passion to tell you what I am thinking or feeling and the moment I can pour my emotions on to paper for you to all read.  I miss all of you guys…if you only knew how s****y my existence is at times and the things I go through on a daily basis.  My moment away from it all is when I open up the Café… almost as if I am entering a different world where we don’t judge each other but we admire each other’s passions, feelings and hard work.  I mean it when I say writing helps save my sanity.  It is more than a passion, more than an outlet.  Writing is more of a savior to my existence until the pieces of the puzzle known as my life are all picked up and put back together.  I’ve told you all about my failed marriage, my kids, my depression and everything in between.  And everyone is amazing enough to take a few moments to review my work and leave a message and regardless of the words in the message I understand that the words truly mean you are there for me and I appreciate that more than anything.  So thank you to those that actually take the time to read this…. I opened up a blank document and this is what came out today.  Enjoy

Life is like an amusement park,we have two types of relationships 1) "the merry go-round which runs slow so you can get in and out providing the ride is operating which unfortunately is the choice made by many they are the ones whom lack commitment" 2)"the roller coaster which once you board you get strapped in and have to continue all the ups and downs twist and spins and cork screwing putting you upside down at times until the ride comes to a stop.The ride is over when one of us dies I told my wife from the get go that a relationship with me would be the thrilling and adventuring roller coaster ride.Writing is not much different from a Ferris wheel here your just stopped to pick up a new writer what you think of my analogy?

And don't stop writing... when I was your age I wrote a lot but never shared anything. Then I stopped and started writing again when I was singing in a band... then stopped and just started again :) Don't stop you are too awesome!

Yeah just a local band not super popular or anything haha I think everyone dreams of being in a rock band at some point in life lol.... I wrote my songs and sang... it was fun while it lasted.

Thank you Deepika that really means a lot and is a wonderful compliment. It is crazy how life works... I used to love writing and stopped... didn't really have an outlet and found the cafe... its awesome and the people are too!

Aaron sometimes I have this same problem, I want to write but not sure what to write about. So sometimes in will go days or maybe a week or more without and it'll drive me crazy! Lol.
Here's some suggestions that might help though. 1 - try not to force anything, that never works. 2 - listen to music, get lost in it, sometimes some of my best thoughts for pieces come while I'm listening to music. 3 - try writing with pen and paper. They say that it helps with creativity.

Oh, Aaron, I feel your pain. I remember I had a very long strike of a dry spell. I'd write only like once a year. And I felt so numb. I had no emotions, no happiness or sadness...just numbness, like you mentioned. It happens. You'll get your writing inspiration back, don't you worry about it too much. I can sympathize with you here my friend.. I think most of us have felt like this a time or two.. one of the many things I love about this place.. can find friendship, inspiration, and escape.. whenever you need it, each can be found as easily as the click of a button... and sometimes when we just open a blank page and type, the right thing flows.. as it seems to have done here.. awesome man! Brother, I don't know you face to face but I feel like I do

poetry! I've learned some things about you through your pieces
