And there were roses

And there were roses

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

A fragrant life well lived...

"

That first tender cry

Fresh sound in a fresh world

Covered in blood and wrapped in love

And there were roses

Pink fragrance of new life…

Sweet sixteen smiles

First kiss blushes

Movies and magic and starry skies

And there were roses

Yellow blooms in the hues of joy…

She wore white-laced summer

And he wore her kisses on his lips

Like a badge of honor

And there were roses

Like alabaster flames of devotion…

Her smile lingered

Amidst well-woven lines of life

His hand firmly held in hers

And there were roses

50 crimson blooms…

A tender peace lays soft

Her hands draped across her chest

Teardrops like pearls strewn down

And there were roses

Scented of heaven and angel wings…

This by far my favorite...I must hunt for the words to express my awe...oh..how You have bewitched me with this piece...I bow before Your talent, my friend...there is sweetness even in the last stanza that speaks of death...oh death.. sweetly strewn with fragile, fragrant roses...just another journey she had to make...oh how perfectly you match the hues of the roses to each stage...incredible...I am speechless...I would proudly write this on my walls...so beautiful...so beautiful...you've outdone yourself,Craig...simply wow...

Blessed the being who finds such honest and true love.

Each line reflects the heavenly tenderness of pure beauty of soul and true love.

Sublime...

So hard to Rate or Measure
********************************************************************* All Stars **********************

The picture itself sets the time line of the beauty, that is at its every stage. Craigs carefully articulated repertoir of nothing less than again, a mastery of chosin, verbs, consanants an the like. Resonate to the senses to an operatic drama, in an orchistration of cadence. My words do not do this poetic epic justice, in the story it conveys. I was astounded by its framing, its content and ever so honored. To have taken the opertunity to experience, its flavour. To prove to us once more, Craig Froman serves up to us here, at WritersCafe... nothing but his all. An all in all, in a passionate capasity.
We must cherish...
Bravo Craig, astounding. Truly sir, you are ... A Poet Lauriete of Distinction.

it's like a relationship gone wrong.
I like the imagery and how you are able to make even something like death seem so soft.

Attractive title. A story about a story, with a beginning and an end, scattered all the way with hope, love, and smiles. I liked the parts:

Teardrops like pearls strewn down
And there were roses
Scented of heaven and angel wings…

Good write. Thanks for sharing.

-Wella.
