Of Wolves and Men

Of Wolves and Men

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Beware of wolves in men’s clothing…

"

The men used to circle her

Fangs grinning at her young form

Eyes clenching her scarlet cloak

She was definitely what he hunted…

 She tread the darkest streets

And met him in a crimson room

The beast was fierce and deliberate

Ripping her basket from her fingers…

Little scarlet cloaked for fear

In darkest city streets did cry

How the wolf in shrouded head

Did vicious steal her smiling grace…

With starless twilight frost

Breath stolen and skin scarred

Dearest ruby lips callous wept

Living victim in numbed existence…

Denise! Thank you so much for coming by... thrilled to see you here again. :)
For such a short poem it holds lots of emotion, I have a clear picture of the scarlet hooded girl and her fate.

Poor little girl lost in this man's world, to be used at will and discarded with ease, oh my love allow a man to protect you at your peril! The wolves ate on the prowl this night.

Great work Craig :0)

I like this one very much
