A Poem by An owl on the moon

My state of Arkansas personified…

In soft curves

draped in jade-colored silks

water glides down her soft skin

in crystal droplets

ribbon rivers…

Her voice is wind whispers

lush emerald tones

and her words

deep sapphire lakes

full and running free…

She is

I have been here, Twin Falls a few times and always wanted to stay..

Living in this state also, I know and can appreciate all of the God made beauty here..Lakes, rivers, streams, rolling fields full of cows, with a low mountain in the background..Each day we get to see beauty in nature..Lola nd God bless..yes I too love the state,,Kathie

Nice description of your home state. The Ozarks are a beautiful natural area.

While this little southern state might not rank high in some areas, it does have an abundance of wilderness, perfect for those who love the serenity and beauty of the outdoors. I've traveled many lands, but this is the one I always wanted to return to, and scenes such as the one pictured above is one of the major reasons why.

The poem and the picture are both amazing. I like the way you are referencing it all by saying "her". The beauty of Mother Nature being recognized and paid tribute too in your poem..:)x
