Terryn's Love Poem

to a girl in my class that i've liked for too long

         

             I was going to write you a   love poem

                        blond hair, blue eyes

                        C cup, white skin girl

·         check the page behind my OJ notes

                                    hours spent studying her form

                                    i could kiss her                     a penitence for yesterdays

                                    this ring slipped off                    blood stains

                                    thigh from wrists transfer…..

            … .

           opportunity

              memorized her

           eyes to            follow palm

           basic circle

Then I notice the ring

                        your left hand

I’m sure I noticed it one, maybe a fourth time before

   She means that much to you

·         lines for when I notice the ring….

                                       Suppose these lips

                                    lies, hand slips words

                                    down page length attempting       apologize

                                    for desire of things that can’t given be     taken

I love this type of freeverse poetry. The emotion behind it is strong, the intent is beautiful. I wonder if this poem will ever reach the girl? It's such a wonderful piece and I love the attention to detail. Beatifully written!

[Coyote Poetry]

Poem had a strange feel to it. I like the description in the poem. The description of the girl and the desire of the writer made the poem feel like a person from a distance. I like the poem. I had to read a few time. I like the ending. A excellent poem with a lot of internal stories hidden in your words.
