Introspect

Introspect

A Poem by Chandradhish Ghosh

Fading memories, feeble aches

Welcomed relief, new handshakes.

Wandering soul, new butterflies

Rock and roll, forgotten lies.

A deep sigh…

Random dates, laughter and joy

Unwavering mates, new found buoy

Ravenous belly, food and wine

Conscious puffs, Thoughts align

A wonderful high…

Unfed mouths, voices unheard

Desperate shouts, eyes afear’d

Religions bet, bullets fly

Burgeoning hate, innocents die

A silent cry…

Unknown lands, unknown plague,

Unknown hands, offerings vague

New antidotes, a million hopes

Untread roads, a billion hopes

A gleeful smile…

There is something so passionately wise within this...beautifully poised! xo
