Quiet Is Kept

Quiet Is Kept

A Poem by Charles

So much is heard
by the herd as they chew on the cuds
that all eat to satiate the grumblings
of the emptiness that they all feel
when the need to fill that space
matters more than the piece of mind
that would be spared if they could only
taste what is real...
The quiet is kept
close to the hearts of the souls who linger
among the depths of the breathless
yearning to hear what secrets hide
in the darkness where the all random hopes
have there own share of fears that leer
at the faintest glimmer of a release
from their imaginations...
So little is said
to the eager sprites that hover in the reverie
of the communal mindset that speaks back
when all wants bleed into disparate needs
that crave their individuality as do all
the folk of lore and the sage advice
given by the big minded whosayers
that are mostly unsure...

The depth and the tone of the tone is very becoming and inviting. And is it the surety or the uncertainty that causes this quietude? Definitely something to chew the cud on! TFS.
