Yelling at Paper

Yelling at Paper

A Poem by Chelsea
"

A short poem about what writing means to me, I hope you find that you have this in common.

"

Yelling at Paper

My life lays scrawled around me

In stacks of lined paper

The pages take me back in time

The times both good and bad

I scratch out the bad

I crumple the pain

I erase the print

I highlight the good times

I make them stand out

So they jump at me and call “Remember Me”

When I read the writing

I wonder am I yelling my pain and happiness at paper;

Or writing for others?

Well done. I think it's a good balance of both. Surprisingly the ones where I randomly spew out emotions are the most popular ones.

It's cool how it's about paper but relates to life also. Bravo!

I begin writing for saving memories. Today I write for pleasure and peace. I believe anyone who writes stories and poetry wants to be read. Best way to remember and appreciate the old writers is to read them. Words are necessary to keep the history of the world and how people thought during our time. A very good poem. In the end. I believe we desire to write for other to create fear, laughter and awake emotion. A outstanding poem.

Ooooh, very good question at the end - one I hadn't thought about...Very good poem, you really made me look at myself with this.

Your poem is really good.

Hmm that's not why I write at all. I write because I find certain concepts in real life really interesting so I use them in my stories. I don't write to express myself, even though my poems can get emotional at times, I don't like writing poems. When I started writing my novel, I didn't expect to sell any copies, or have anyone read it. I spent 6 months on it for myself. Even on here, people don't read my stories.

well, sometimes we write because it means for someone, and sometimes we write because we just want to let it out from our chest..that's all I can say...
