i am off to a new town

i am off to a new town

A Poem by Urja Gokani

Am off to a new town

I am leaving my sorrows behind

Off to start my new life

Going away from my friends and family

Will meet them soon again

I am off to a new town

My heart is pumping hard

Starting a new journey

Traveling miles just to view the scenery

I am feeling amazed

I am off to a new town

And off to a new town.

I like the way you've conveyed a strong sense of anticipation about something new coming up. I think the line "I'm off to a new town" is used too often for my liking. I'd like to see more details about whatever the new scenario might be . . . the way we envision things to come . . . but then often it turns out quite differently. I love the extent to which you've expressed the initial feelings and I also believe this could be extended to show a more multi-layered message.

thanks a lot will keep this in mind :)
You've captured the feeling really nicely. Some people hate change, some people love it. It can be exciting to go somewhere new, to see the scenery and enjoy a different world to your own.

I love change, it happens so quick sometimes. It is hard not to get caught in the whimsy of potential that gets the “heart pumping”. Fun read, it reminds me of why I love the feeling I get just before “I am off to a new town.” Question why did you start and end capitalizing the A’s?

You are welcome. ......:).......
If only it were so easy as to move away from what troubles us, but most of our trouble are of our own making and tend to go wherever we go. A funny thing about people is they are like those troubles in that they are the same everywhere. New friends are where you find them, meaning anyplace or time you really look for them you will find them. So with your move let it be without any troubling thoughts, hurt feelings or regrets in your heart and you will end up in paradise where ever you go :~)
