Oriental Mist

yellow empire glows

as fall’s colorful leaves

float down like gentle

rain on the lake

covering the rolling

and lulling waters

nothing fake or dead about

this season as love grows

under our moss covered

oak tree

I appreciate the attempt at creativity with the underlined words but I find it takes away from the beautiful, sweeping writing that this poem has. From start to finish it's like taking a singular breath in this crisp, colourful season. A grand tribute to autumn.

Makes me feel serene and a little tired. Not in a bad way either. Thanks for sharing this is a great one, Marie.

Wow, very beautiful, so gentle in words and the picture it creates while reading. Fall is always so beautiful with all its fiery colors!

Firstly, I love the title, it brings up all beautiful visions of fall in my mind as does the rest of your beautiful poem. Good job, I really loved this read. Thank you for submitting it to Tovli's "Ten"!
