Lost What I Adored

My soul has been transformed

Lost what I most adored

Now I’m much too bored

I feel like a beached whale

That swells upon the shore

Now life seems like a bloody gore

As a child I hoped for so much more

I feel as if an angry lion has roared

My flesh he has torn

My life’s filled with so many chores

The loss of my dog has me feeling numb inside. I feel like I lost apart of myself. Definately have been thinking about the brevity of life more. It's been a little morbid having such thoughts lately. I miss my puppy.

Sorry for your loss, darlin'. Best thing for you to do now is to go out and get yourself another pup. Just make sure he's faithful and has a job and doesn't have too much extra luggage (ha ha- just tryin to cheer you up). BZ

This piece is full of anger and regret.
It has all types of emotion that is heartfelt.
Very nice, Sweet Marie.

I would invite you to go deeper into the expression of loss with perhaps a more formidable poem. It doesn't have to be an epic but something a little more formal in composition would be a nice way to channel emotions that motivate common feelings.

Aw... This is such a touching piece, Marie Harrison. I wish I could say I feel your pain, but I can't, because of how I see death. But I understand it. This poem really speaks to that loss; the sadness is pervasive, infecting. This poem meets the heart. Well done, Ms., even if it is from the depths of your sorrow.
