Open Up!

Open Up!

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A urgent poem of love

"

Open Up!

Whirlwind love is at your door

Moaning, she’s stirring wanting more

Aching for you to pour, pour and pour

Gooey, sweet like a melting smore

She’s the woman you adore

Another night of Egyptian cotton in store

Howling at the moon is a folklore

But not the swirling doves of the Irish moor

Your choice of the word "Another" says so much. Loved it. This could be deceptive to the novice reader (of which I am only slightly distanced...) in that the rhyming scheme almost distracts from what you are saying, then at the end - it hits you. And its awesome.

I like this poem. The words were alive and the statements filled with hope and life. Made me want to howl at the moon and dance on a beach. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
