Shock Treatment

Shock Treatment

A Poem by Marie Harrison

A mind numbing poem

n Shock Treatment

Machine guns rapid fire

Deep inside grey matter

Eyes twitching,

Body convulsing,

Silence is required

Images surfacing

Bright lights flashing

All logic is shattered

Tip toe as you go

Leave no clues behind

Anger will soon

Fill these synapses

Perfect poem describing the onset of a powerful headache. It is like violence happening inside the head!

This was a cool read! And presented very well. I liked the font choice and the word play.

Grief .. Is that how it feels, how absolutely horrible, poor girl?! So hope you feel better as soon as possible.

In spite of being about the awful pain, your poem's so clever, the words are very descriptive, it's even painful to read.
