A Poem by Marie Harrison

Starfish drift  by

As I bleed tonight

Slowly all of my

Red plasma is

Filling up the sea

Feeding all the

Blue ocean plankton

 As I leave

My body for the

Circling sharks to eat

There’s nothing left

For me to keep

Think I’ll sail

Out of here,

Do a fly by the moon

Up in the cosmos

Kiss the face of

Heaven as I

 Evaporate into

Sparkles of

Purple stardust

Great job, well done.

There was such a subtle aura floating around each syllable and i think that gave me the impression of weightlessness ==> dust == stardust.

I think you achieved the purpose more than splendidly with the picture, tone and atmosphere all merging seamlessly here!

I applaud this.

Reminds me of some sort of ocean acid trip. Interesting, for sure :)

From the flotsom of oceans blue, to the dark outer reaches of space and time you take your readers on a magical fly-bye :0)

ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES!!! I loved the words, the idea, and how you were inspired. I really loved the part "Think I’ll sail Out of here, Do a fly by the moon Up in the cosmos Kiss the face of Heaven" Made it all worth reading forty times in a row...haha dont know why it gets me like it does.
