Snapshots (Beach)

A Poem by Nostalgicc
"

Visited a beach in a very affluent part of the country. It was so pretentious I almost cried.

"
1

Waves wonderfully
foaming up to a blemish,
blemishing an
otherwise salty
alliance of souls,
a juncture for a humble
man and a wise woman.

Lapping up to a
renovated royalty
with an air of reserved
indignation.
And to think it's resting
on rocks, more rocks.

And I on sand.
Both of us on land yet
Neither hand in hand
or thought in thought.

2

Seagulls pecking
through sand
and the remains
of a soiled sandwich

3

Air
thick heavy
sun
hungry
hunting.

Me
tired, troubled
by the alliance.

4

Water churning
clear
then
churning
murky from
legs
limbs
lazily churning.

I visited a beach.
Here are separate snapshots from the visit.
Each one, focusing on different things I saw.
