The only difference

The only difference

A Poem by Awkward Bird

The only difference between our secrets is
whether we allow them to evolve into tales of heroism or fear.
We were in love, and it had been the right time.
Everyone says you know the right time.
I bought you the ring.
I was ready.
I thought I was ready.
I could have given you the ring, we could have gotten married.
We could have had a tale of heroism.
But instead, I sent it in an envelope.
An envelope sent to an unknown address.
It's a tale of fear.

Dear Writer,
Very well written and highly experimental for a prose poem. Welcome to the site. Sorry my review is short, which is unusual for me. I couldn't find anything wrong with this, but there is three kinds of writers: those who dwell inside the box, those who find the corners of the box, and those who work outside the box. Which one are you? :P 9.6/10.

This is a very good poem. Great rhythm and word choice and emotion help it flow quite nicely. Great job! Keep it up!
