A Miniature Garden

A Miniature Garden

A Poem by Angela Mulley

Listen carefully,

here's the reason

why birds and flowers fair,

unseen about the garden;

though it be the same sky there.

In the morning when it started,

one bright and sunny day;

while there beside a wall,

a hole much bigger lay.

Hole to wall subsided,

until the sky restored,

that which flower and the flier

had ever seen before.
