Why I'm here

Why I'm here

A Poem by Preliving
"

A bit of late night pondering

"
No one knows why we are here.
The birds sing because they can,
and the trees support them on their aching limbs
because they must.
But why does a tree grow only to raise others up on their
pedestals?
Why do I sit here
and wonder
and not support anyone else trying to sing to the skies?
I don't want to be a tree,
not any more.
I want to be a bird and call out above the heads of the masses swaying in regular time to the music of the wind.
I want to try to be happy.
And I think that's why I'm still here.

A self-reflection of one's existence and purpose in life. I enjoyed this short poem. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Theres them that sing and theres them that tree

A bird cant be a tree anymore than a tree can be a bird.
Do the birds get jealous of the tree with it majesty and strong roots and its ability to dance in whatever wind - naked or clothed - who knows? But trees keep the planet alive not singing birds (I know theres a bit of symbioses with shelter vs seeds shatting and rebirth but its a partnership)

You are a singing tree but .... never forget that !!

take care
