Oil Colour

Oil Colour

A Poem by Cassidy Mask

Our dreams light up the sky…

Shades of indigo and violet

(The colours still wet,

Fresh from the tube.)

And we’re on our knees

Praying someone heals

Our minds

‘Cos they’re bleeding

With the effort of truth

And it’s almost a fact

That I’m never happy

With the way I begin

But I think I’d still

Like to start over. Try

A different track

Different shade

And our dreams will

Light up the sky

All umber and ochre.

Life and search for truth as a painting. Refining, refining, breaking down... refining again... Artist's hardest part being: knowing when it's done... but truth is still further.

Once again nice work!
