In Passing

In Passing

A Poem by clairekeown25

Sometimes I get a visit
From a most shocking thought
Such casual indifference
Perhaps I ought
To be rewired

It's strange how it just slides into existence
,Just one moment like
Blood running from a graze
Or Silver eels

The arbitrary dip and buzz of a house fly,
Without the irritation
The effect without the cause
The words I love you without the pause

I don't believe its true reflection
Just a snippet, a piece
Like that moment when the man in front turns around,
and for the first time,
you see his face.
