Cold Walls

Cold Walls

A Poem by clairvoyantmars

She cries the loneliness away

And shouts accusations in her head

They echo back into her shadows

And pulse throughout her empty shell

Their voices sound inside her mind

Her quiet pleas are left unheard

T’was such her lonely world

She walks with placid routine

No aimless step wasted

Such beauty, they say, such power

But they hear not the cries in her head

The heavy cloud she carries

The secrets no one knows

All they see is her carefree smile

I’m haunted, she whispers to herself

She returns to her place of solace

Back to the walls who have seen her tears

No warmth in their touch

No words of comfort for the sobs they hear

Such pitiful routine

Such sad regress

Just sleep my darling

And don’t touch the walls

The chills in their touch will creep in your dreams

Just sleep….

All to often there is waaaay more to a person then you can tell from the outside. There's usually more going on or something they're struggling with. ALWAYS the case with me an you have to know me well to see it. Not many poeple can.
Very true poem. I like it:)

this sounds like one of your other poems, but its rather good, nonetheless

Deadly imagery, and it shows how little we care for others who suffer. And yet humankind collectively failed their introductory mind-reading class in secondary school, which may explain why can't know what others suffer with.

This is a perfect piece of prose. One of your best, clairvoyant.

I hear a dripping faucet as i read this.. just drip drip drip..someone crouched in a corner tears slowing rolling down there face while they hug their knees. Alone, with a little pillow and blanket on the other side of the room. So utterly painful to think about, yet such a real feeling and a real image. Marvellous.

Spilling over with imagery. This piece tears at your heart and soul, begging and pleading for help. Great write.
