Confusion Pt. 1

Confusion Pt. 1

A Poem by Dylan C.

I don't know how long I can stand this confusion
I feel as if my life's become an illusion
I know she loves me, I know she cares
But all I can do is sit and stare
Why can't I just decide?
Maybe then my feelings won't have to hide
I hate not knowing what to do
Why can't someone give me a clue?
I know it seems like an easy decision
But it feels like someone's given my heart an incision
I care about her, I truly do
But I've got to be true
True to others and true to myself
It's time I took my heart off of the shelf
I haven't done it yet, so you call me a chicken s**t
But that's only part of it
I'm afraid to ask, but I don't know why
Except I'm afraid, she'll say "Goodbye"
