see foam

see foam

A Poem by Daisy

i wish i was alone
just me and what i see
look through my eyes, look at
the sky that has the capacity to be any color it wants
for now it’s just blue and white
but when i’m by myself it shows me violet and pink
look at
the waves that threaten me with their height
they tickle my sneakers
i’ll regret this later
smell that?
the salt and the sweat
the seaweed over there
the sand in my hair
outside is endless and infinite
god, i wish i was alone
maybe next time

perhaps when we are on our own, the imagination gets more of a chance to exert itself without worry of what others might think...we almost feel the need to act normal in front of others...but things might look differently when we can risk seeing them through more creative eyes...it is like how we must be alone to write...we get into our own world...
no one else allowed...let the ocean rage.

I love this concept. How when we're alone with our thoughts & scenery how our view can change about our surroundings. Preconceived notions can come from another or many others, but in our own minds & through our own eyes, we may be seeing so much more. Very nice write!

dearest Daisy... your writing is a painting that
I can imagine... being alone without God is a thought, but She has her Angels and we have our Angels. truly, Pat

On our own, our imaginations get more of a chance to notice slight details and more details to give a chance to create from in a poetical perspective. The feeling of needing to act normal in front of others does somewhat dim the light and obscure our view. “I wish I was alone maybe next time’ and next time in this time and place you will get to notice the beauty it beholds and find hidden treasures!

' the salt and the sweat - the seaweed over there - the sand in my hair - outside is endless and infinite - god, i wish i was alone - maybe next time '

Every words has a special role in your poem. It's amazingly visual, perhaps as near as one gets to feeling out of this world, Oblivious to anything, everything. Wonderful phrasing. Such a state to understand for self, some time. We are only an iota of what we think.
