Stop This Insanity!

Stop This Insanity!

A Poem by George Love
"

Never mind, you'll figure it out!

"

Stop this Insanity!

Ever more increasing it rises,
The ether sound of that incessant drip
Two more hours till rest shall be had,
Lest the constant pressure restore
Precious resources flow down the drain
While under my pillow my screams I refrain!

Will ever one come and to stop this madness?
What knight shall rescue us from this dark dank sound?
While off to search those parts desired,
Comes one with such a lofty price
Surely madness runs within his veins!
Yet there before me lies the quest!

Parts in hand I leave in joy,
And even yet while in this task
Should one ever forget to ask?
Is all for nothing if plans now fail?
Shall one more night be spent deprived
Of rest so needed for long days night?

Ever mocking now it sits
Never knowing its end is near
Tools in hand and parts, now fear!
Remove, inspect, replace and test!
Yes, yes, this drip is now no more
And ha ha! , tonight find I my rest!

And yet, which one of the detectors now beep?

LMAO Yep, know that feeling! I LOVE the build here love, a tension throughout, you hold the reader in suspense, a great talent to do that! xx

Cute...at first I thought you were speaking of a leaking faucet...drip, drip, drip. The fire alarm is much more annoying as it is impossible to sleep through that. At 4:00 a.m. the batteries get yanked with hopes of no fire. Good write...sweet dreams.

Reminds me of my long recovery after my surgery. I don't breathe very deeply when I sleep and the machine which monitered that kept going off every time I dozed. This brought back some...interesting memories. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds at night drive me nuts, too. Good work. My only comment is that the placement of your rhymes is inconsistent. Regular placement would work better for me.

Will ever one come and to stop this madness?
What knight shall rescue us from this dark dank sound? Sometimes I really wonder and yet it is funny how we keep finding ourselves back there once again. LOl Great writing as always, Pete!

Oh. That is cute. I love that the detector beeps afterwards. So true to life. One problem solved just to have a new one. So overwelming sometimes. It's like "insanity".
Thanks for sharing!
