A Poem by George Love
"

A memorial for the daughter of a friend

"

Flash

Was all it took

Was over so soon

A life assumed with years to go

One bright flash and all was gone

Save for loved ones

Pondering this fate

Should say something

Words refuse

Flowing not

For too much has flowed

That life now gone

Chances taken maybe

Fate tempted possible

Only one might

Know the truth

Keeps tight the lips

Farewell so sudden

Goodbye too final

Sleep too innocent

Love too deep

And death too certain

Comfort never more

The one dread fear

That one held so dear

Might this night now never

Come home once more

Rest In Peace

You journey ended

Left us to wonder

How numbered our days

In honor of Kelsie Trobaugh who died tragically on March 20, 2010 at age 17.  May you rest in peace child.

A tribute and a lesson wrapped in a beautifully written package and delivered to everyone who needs to remember to cherish the ones around you while you have the chance. Great work.

Great tribute. I really felt it. Beautifully written, and it makes those of us still here remember to be thankful for the times gone by....and the times yet to come.

cheers!

How number our days indeed. We all live on borrowed time...

Well done.
