My Temptress

My Temptress

A Poem by coffeedigest
"

Temptation is strongest when distracted.

"

A rush that will not leave,

It swallows thoughts and sings.

A flash of white from thin, to thick.

It reeks and stings, I plead, Yet sink.

My bones shake of Carried weight,

from only gin, and snake.

His whisper smells of God,

yet tastes of hate.

I scream

I flee

I found my foe

His light is black

Unseen

By soul

He climbs the heights of thoughts within.

He seals my doubt, Flashed by sin.

My mind has spun

He grins

Temptation is strong. The more you fight it, the more power it gets. Really liked your description of temptation. Good job
