the mid of the road

the mid of the road

A Poem by Collin
"

the continuation of the mid

"

How does the song go?
One that bears the many transgressions of man
That tells of being redeemed and brought to feast on righteousness
One that lacks certain protests made by men

Resolutely..

I'm not wounded, I'm not forgotten
I'm not the child left out in the cold
I wasn’t forsaken to the dust of the world
I was just only the one drowned in the lives of too many opinions

Not those of the voice shifting congregation
But those of myself
The misguided roads of unforeseeable turns
What of it

Yet..

Upon being near blinded

The certainty of convergence narrows drastically

Suddenly only a few of these highways seem navigable
To one standard

Of the few left rational..

One stands out
Not completely banishing the others from use
But certainly looking to be the better of the lot
Not because of the potential ease, but the conviction that has drawn my eyes towards it

Its two lanes are not opened to high speeds, rather, a much slower, careful tempo of motion
Although it appears to be a uniform highway, with exits and warning markers
Obviously, the left lane is to the left of the right lane.
And the right lane is to the left of the exits bearing new and different highways.

Pretty basic eh..

Seemingly easy lanes to travel, one closer than the other to the exits, and to another set of lanes
Quite the effortless commute
Expecting no potholes or traffic
And granting I know which exit to take

It would be..

Except, my vehicle is not exactly in working condition
It seems that over time it has been brought to less than highway worthy order
And even if it were in said worthy working order
I lack the knowledge of certain functions of the car itself.

Ah well..

As is life
Better hop to it.
