This is a great snapshot of something we've all probably experienced. But in your poem, the way you've selected each line is so perfect, it really gives me great satisfaction . . . like I'm rooting for the narrator! There's just enuf information to spark a whole host of surrounding details in the reader's mind. "You should have saved your minutes" is the current way of saying what we used to say, back in the day: "Use your dime to call someone who gives a s**t." That was back when there WERE pay phones & they only cost 10 cents to use *ha! ha!* But your current take is perfectly stated.

This is good stuff. Short, crisp, neat and yeah definitely gives a punch. I can figure out the details with all the lines you have provided. At least i think I do. Well less is more and this definitely stays true to that. And this is just my view but i get the feel it's inspired by real life. Well i could be completely wrong. But I enjoyed the read ^^
