Timeblind

Timeblind

A Poem by Conrad Wrobel
"

"Time is an abstract concept developed carbon-based lifeforms to monitor their ongoing decay" - Thunderclese

"

Quarantined like contagion.

I am the rat in the womb,

The festering end of thought.

My tomb is my home,

I have nowhere to escape to

On this little blue marble.

Wailing from my frozen throne,

Death throes.

No heroes,

Just time.

Unwind my everlasting soul.

My eyes grow cold.

Nothing new,

Just old.

End my eternity in

This countless diamond.

The lack of leave,

I cannot weave

My way to forgiveness

In ages eyes,

It is blind

To the prayers from any time

I really enjoy the internal rhyming you use here...it really makes works quite well with the theme of this poem.
