Restless

Restless

A Poem by Jada Johnson

a broken record,

yearning to find the answers.

analyzing potential pathways,

clarity.

hoping my love doesn't unfold,

I need you next to me.

Intimacy,

It hasn't shown itself lately.

my heart

it's gotten heavy.

Have we given up?

or is it just me.

eventually

oh eventually,

real love

will find its way back to me.

If we are not paying attention, complacency will sneak into any relationship and quickly ruin all the time and effort we have put in. Your poetic words convey a subtle but poignant message; If “I love you” has morphed almost exclusively into “love you babe” or some version of that, your partner probably has forgotten what those words are supposed to convey. It’s time for them to remember and make a change. Great read my friend – kudos... :-)

When love died, died, so fast. I liked the honest words and the hopeful ending dear Jada. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

the first thing to go...the intimacy...and it makes both hearts get heavy...so much can get in the way of the physical....when the mental and emotional starts to fade...it is so hard to find our way back.
have experienced this enough to know.
