listen muse!

listen muse!

A Poem by costa siwale
"

A writer's request to their muse

"
Muse muse! Awaken my mind!
Boil this blood with written rhymes!

Muse, wound this whitened page!
Pour my thoughts with gusting rage!

Choose my victims so they read
Bewitch them, so they never leave!

cut them deep with what I think!
Stitch my pain inside their skins..

Well Costa, such fury!!! Perhaps your Muse is telling you to petition her sweetly, and then I am sure the words will come flowing! But actually I rather like your poem, and in some way I can identify!

Lord this is powerful .Indeed dear muse grant us inspiration so that we tell our story and our pens sprout wings and fly across the page and leave those who read our ramblings enthralled. This is our forever plea.Wonderful writing:)

Ouch, this hit me! Very fun piece...Choose my victims so they read... Bewitch them so they never leave... and Love those last two lines... Yes, when a poet cuts the reader deep, the reader will surely return for more.

I love that this feels like witchcraft, and reads like a chant. Sometimes the muse just needs a good talking to, to get them to work their magic.
