Her-to-Her

Her-to-Her

A Poem by costa siwale
"

a writing about women

"
They say we broke the balance in heaven and earth
that the serpent of lies with us! bred mankind's death..
we are seen as forgers of destruction
condemned! daughters of deception..
raped of our innocence by a bitter world
caged to subservience by the ideas they yield..
our symbol, limited to sexuality and toil
while they strangle us, lust us and lay us in the soil..
they say a lot of things
but from me to you, you are this world's everything..

wow, i liked this one when i started reading it i initially thought it was written by a woman and based on the title as well, figured its literally her to her, but the fact that you are actually a man just blew me away even more, well written Costa and it speaks a truth that most people deny or simply ignore, i liked it a lot hey, it shows so much depth and that you thought it through before you put the words down,

Thank you for sharing this. It's a very thought provoking piece that is surprisingly accurate. I have often caught myself wondering if men actually cared about the things you address in this poem or if they just shake their heads and go back to watching porno. Very good work, I love this! :)

Very thought provoking poem and creates the imagery of Adam and Eve's downfall. Very very nicely done! Please share more of your work :)

Hey Costa, that is very powerful, very honest and quite frankly how the world is.We are blinded with gizmo's tv tripe and fakes to help wield the self indulgent nightmare.I like it very much.

Very welcome:)
half of humanity "strangled" by lies, degradation, oppression.. even made more ironic and ugly by the lie of original sin, by the lies of a man made god or gods.... isn't it long since time to put and end to these lies and myths. women are human beings and great harm and outrage is done to them based on these lies. maybe its addressed "from her to her", but this him stands with you... thanks for your poem. --redzone
