My B Star

A poem for my best friend who's grew wings and in a better place

I don’t want to believe the news is true

That my best mate has gone and I’m left so blue

Still trying to work out it all out in my mind

My friend has gone, so funny so kind

With words and clips that play over in my head

Why are they saying you’re gone your dead

 

It’s not true, I don’t want this to be real

My heart is broken and don’t know how to feel

You are the ingredients to my happy past and

I never thought my happiness would not last

 

We made plans that involved you and me

This is not part of my plan how could this be

I’m finding it hard to know how to feel

Cause you my best mate my wool my steel

 

Now you have wings so fly and be free

For ever more you’re always with me

Rest in peace and now you’re star

And shine with greatness and let me know where you are
