Each Kiss

Each Kiss

Some times we dream of stars

All the while we are just disassociating ourselves

So much anxiety

For what reason?

We are so far away

So small in comparison

So rare in the relative

Sand between my toes

My retrospect saddens the stars

The many times to be in the present we let go

Sometimes we let go to allow ourselves to distract

Other times we embrace a chest with no beat of heart

Meanwhile the sneers of church inhabited statued faces,

Revolve their spite

Word of mouth until the truth is lost

The truth started out with false smiles

Turned eyes and malice

Happy turned to madness

Madness turned to me

She let out a breath

And just smiled like murder,

eyes giving her away,

as just another cliche

Still,

sometimes we dream of stars

We can't help but look up

But we always forget the innate canvas we paint with each kiss

Leading to misery or bliss
