Back to the Floor

A Poem by Count Humilus

My mind is lost between spaces of written words

Beneath my mind

Beside my heart

Breathless and anxious

Empty spirits fill my soul

Leaving and letting go,

It might be all I have to show

After each girl

After each woman

After each day of work

Drips of candle wax,

Emotion trickling down my candelabra

The drops hit the ground

The reality makes no sound

I close my eyes to the brightest of lights

Random thoughts drowning in front of  the crowd
