It's Just a Number?

we are here for you :)) spread the #love

countless
deaths, meaningless to
the people in front
of a screen


to them, it's just a Number;
9,10,15,100
all dead
each their own life
but ended because of
a bullet, a knife


fires
tears in their eyes
babies wrapped
in towels
fear


we're safe here
only not really
who knows
what act of violence
will occur today


we can only hope
pray
for others, for each other
and spill water
into the fires
that burn throughout the
world


and me
this paper
others, their voice
can help
